We are an International Professional and Educational Platform for the Arts, Culture and Development in the Netherlands, in English.
We create International productions of Arts and Culture- theatre, film, workshops, exhibitions, festivals, books, lectures, online events and more- with the purpose to entertain, unite and educate communities.
We are an International Artistic Community of artists of all disciplines and nationalities.
The iTIE delivers professional theatre productions in English.
We are based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Our repertoire consists of classical plays, modern plays as well as plays by new upcoming talents. Our goal is to integrate communities and share language, culture and emotion whilst exploring the Art of the Theatre.
It is our belief that theatre can be therapeutic and liberating both for the Artists and for the Audience.
Stichting TVP is a Foundation about the Arts, Culture and Development. We operate through two main venues: a) The International Theatre in English and b) The Los Angeles Method (a method that uses Acting and Personal Development Techniques to assist people in finding their voice and acting on their lives.).
At the TVP Foundation every year we produce a major theatre production, through The International Theatre in English and complement the production with parallel programming throughout the year using the educational venue of the foundation: The Los Angeles Method.
That way the themes addressed on stage can go beyond the theatre and deepen the conversation beyond stage lights.
Our vision at the TVP Foundation is to create an international artistic podium where artists ( Dutch and Internationals) and audience alike, can use a common language to express themselves, grow and make the change. We wish to offer a creative environment for artists to find their voice. In addition we wish to profile Dutch Artists and productions created in the Netherlands, internationally
Our vision at the International Theatre in English is to integrate communities and share language, culture and emotion whilst exploring the Art of the Theatre.
We believe that theatre benefits both the artists and the audience. We believe that theatre benefits a community socially and culturally. Numerous international studies prove theatre boosts an individual’s motivation to be civically engaged, stimulates a local economy, and increases awareness.
This is accomplished by Creating an opportunity to draw people together who would otherwise not be engaged in a constructive social activity.
The theatre production becomes source of pride for residents (participants and non-participants alike) in their community, increasing their sense of connection to that community.
Theatre enlightens audience members by examining and exploring various social, political, personal, and artistic issues that are relevant within our lives and communities – these are often trends that span generational gaps and show how people can overcome differences and celebrate unique aspects of their lives.
The International Theatre in English was created and founded by Theodora Voutsa.
